The Morrison Rotary Orientor uses a series of timing screws and change parts to orient containers across a packaging line. After leaving the Rotary Orientor the containers continue down the packaging line for labeling.
In this particular application, the mason jar containers needed to be oriented by the embossing on the jar for a label to be applied to the side without embossing. Using a sophisticated series of cameras, the pedestals on the system engage and disengage based on the orientation of the jar in order to reorient to the proper orientation prior to feeding the downstream labeler.
