In this video, we are metering and orienting plastic wine glasses. Our team designed a custom timing screw drive unit to accept wine glass containers from a backlog, automatically metering and orienting them for smooth downstream operation. Given their unique shape, the wine glass containers were prone to shingling. To address this, our container handling experts created a case-specific infeed that controls the containers at the stem, preventing shingling by handling randomly oriented and spaced containers with precision.
