Morrison’s engineering team developed a customized Twist Block assembly designed specifically for the customer’s container sizes. Each Twist Block was built to invert the cans for code dating and reinvert them to their original orientation for downstream applications. The solution included two key components:
• 355ml Twist Block Assembly: Designed for smaller standard cans, this block efficiently performed inversion and reinversion.
• 473ml Twist Block Assembly: Engineered for the larger standard cans, maintaining the same precision and functionality.
• Both Twist Blocks were mounted on a Quick Change Plate, allowing for easy interchangeability between sizes. Each block underwent a fit test with the exact container it was designed for before shipment to provide precision and compatibility with the customer’s production line.
The Twist Blocks were equipped with durable and lightweight materials, engineered for robust, high-speed production environments. The Quick-Change Plate Mounting system simplified installation and changeovers, minimizing downtime and supporting efficient operations.
