Our customer needed a way to automate the separation of a stack of round containers (oatmeal bowls) and drop them in between lugs on a conveyor with consistent spacing.
Our engineers designed a vertical denester to accept round oatmeal bowls and separate them to drop onto a conveyor. The denester can accept up to 44” bowl stacks. After each container is denested, it is dropped onto the conveyor and placed between the lugs. This aids with keeping the containers consistently spaced apart after exiting the timing screw denesting unit and onto the downstream application.
This system was created from Black Anodized Aluminum.
Morrison’s vertical denester successfully automated the separation of oatmeal bowls, ensuring they were consistently spaced as they were dropped onto the conveyor. This solution enhanced the efficiency of the production line by improving container handling and spacing accuracy, demonstrating Morrison’s ability to deliver tailored, high-performance automation solutions.
