A shampoo bottle manufacturer needed an innovative solution that would take tall containers and lay them down 90 degrees on their side onto a conveyor below for a downstream case packer system. This system would need to do this process on two different sized bottles without damaging the product.
Morrison’s expert engineers developed a single timing screw that meters while a twist block turns the containers into packs of two laying down wide side leading. The twist block assembly and timing screw worked in tangent to ensuring that each group of containers fit into their pocket on the moving conveyor.
Morrison’s innovative solution was constructed from stainless steel and UHMW plastic. Providing a durable and lightweight construction solution.
Morrison’s innovative solution greatly improved the manufacturer’s production process. The system successfully handled two different bottle sizes; the twist block laid the containers down 90 degrees without causing any damage to the containers. The use of stainless steel and UHMW plastic provided a lightweight construction, enhancing the system’s durability and efficiency meeting the standards of the shampoo industry.
