Morrison engineered a four-screw Smart Dividing system designed to handle full, capped round containers from a backlog, efficiently dividing them into two lanes before a dual-head sleeving application. As containers exit the divider, they are precisely metered for proper spacing as they move toward the sleever. This system includes an upgraded lane diverter, allowing all containers to be sent through either lane A or lane B as needed.
The diverter, driven by timing screws and pneumatic actuators, is controlled through the HMI, making the system “smart” by adapting to real-time conditions. Upgrades like this boost efficiency and reduce downtime, especially in high-speed applications. Protective guarding is included to help keep operators safe around the screws.
