A beverage manufacturer needed a smart beverage dividing system for precise, high-speed sleeving in two lanes to improve shelf appearance.
Morrison designed a four-screw smart dividing system to split capped containers into two lanes for dual-head sleeving. The system meters spacing and includes a lane diverter driven by timing screws and pneumatic actuators, controlled via HMI. This “smart” system adapts to conditions, enhancing efficiency and reducing downtime in high-speed applications. Guarding protects operators from the screws.
The timing screw drive unit was constructed with Black Anodized Aluminum.
The customer reported a smoother, more efficient production line with reduced downtime and higher output quality. This smart dividing system not only met their need for precision but also improved overall production speed and reliability, leading to better shelf appearance and product consistency.
