Morrison Container Handling Solutions Demonstrates Packaging Line Innovation at 2020 PACK EXPO Connects

Morrison Container Handling Solutions will be showcasing some of its most innovative solutions a little differently at this year’s PACK EXPO. This year, Morrison will be debuting eight live demos at the virtual, reimagined Pack Expo Connects. After having a successful and innovative year, Morrison is eager to show off its new and reimagined packaging line solutions in a way never done before.

 As COVID-19 has impacted many industries, Morrison has evolved to overcome the new challenges posed. With Morrison’s company focus always being on innovative container handling solutions, adapting to the challenges posed by new COVID-19 health and safety regulations has been a smooth transition.

Coming up on 50 years in the packaging industry, Morrison took its manufacturing expertise and used it to work with customers using their products to help the community through these difficult times.

When COVID-19 took the world by storm and many people were facing shortages in products, Morrison stepped up to the plate. Working with companies like Marquis Energy, Pioneer Tank and Vessel, and Ronchi, Morrison was able to help companies switch their manufacturing lines to produce hand sanitizers when the country faced shortages. They even expedited the process at no cost to the customer because “it’s just the right thing to do,” as their CEO Nancy Wilson always says.

Morrison knew automation would be the necessary solution to many of these supply chain challenges, which leads to one of the company’s proudest moments of working through the pandemic. With Thermo Fisher, Morrison was able to design and bring to life 16 completely custom machines in just under 6 months resulting in an increase in productivity by 20,000%. And time was of the essence for these projects.

Each system was integrated by Morrison and sorts, fills, caps, and transfers the containers through these processes to present for a final labeling application.
