Morrison’s Dedication to Education
Here at Morrison, continuous improvement is a core value we hold ourselves to truly developing internally with our team and externally with our community. Explore below some examples of partnerships and products we have developed throughput the years dedicated to the importance of education.
Partners in Innovation
At Morrison, education is synonymous with our brand’s story. Integrating our dedication to education in our DNA, we partner with local schools and universities in order to help continue our employees' intellectual journeys, as well as build the future generation of student innovators.

Mechatronics Engineering Technology
In 2008, Morrison helped open a mechatronics engineering lab at Purdue University Northwest. Then in 2016, with the continued partnership with Morrison, PNW was able to start the first baccalaureate degree program in mechatronics engineering technology in the country. This program prepares students for careers in the packaging industry through a combination of mechanical, electrical, and automation technology-based courses. The lab was officially named after Nick and Nancy Wilson in 2012.

Apprenticeship Program with OAI
Helping to promote continuing education in the community is something we believe is important to always be part of at Morrison. So, the newest partnership Morrison made with OAI and Purdue University Northwest made perfect sense. This apprenticeship program organized by OAI and PNW aims to partner the future workforce looking for entry-level roles within technical industries. The program, which is a hybrid of classroom learning, online classes, and on-the-job training, helps to develop the manufacturing workforce and helps companies retain employees. (You can read more about the program here.)
Summer Internships
As part of our mission to bridge the skills and education gaps in manufacturing, we offer a variety of internships in all of our departments. This includes marketing, engineering, IT, and manufacturing. Read more about our most recent group of interns from the summer of 2020 here or apply to one now.
