Our customer needed a fully robust system created for them to divide bottles on a conveyor from 1 to 2 equal lanes.
Our team at Morrison designed a custom timing screw drive assembly system. This system feeds full bottles from a backlog and then divides them into two equal lanes. Ensuring the lanes were equal was a high priority for the customer, so our engineers chose a two-screw design to stably divide the containers even at high speeds. Additionally, they installed a rail between the screws as an extra measure to ensure equal division.
To maintain a constant backlog of bottles, Morrison mounted this new system onto an existing conveyor the customer already owned, making the solution cost-effective.
Morrison’s solution was constructed using stainless steel and polyethylene.
Our solution met the customer’s needs by maintaining a consistent 600 CPM operation. Using the existing conveyor minimized costs, while the two-screw design and rail system provided accurate bottle division, enhancing production reliability and efficiency.
