A large dairy manufacturer needed an automated solution for laning single serve yogurts to streamline their line and combine uneven lanes into equal multi-packs.
Our engineers developed a system that evenly distributes product from two lanes into four, with a photoeye counting containers in real time. This enables an arm to move containers between lanes, allowing the correct number for the sleeving application.
The system was built with stainless steel for washdown environments and food-safe UHMW plastic, offering durability, easy maintenance, and meeting dairy industry standards.
Morrison’s solution successfully addressed the challenge of unevenly numbered lanes, creating balanced multi-packs with equal containers of each flavor. The system effectively filled empty gaps and streamlined the production line, while helping to improve production flow, product consistency, and met the customer’s requirements.
