3 Screw Stacking for Tub Sleeving

Customer Container Handling Challenge

A dairy manufacturer was seeking an automated solution that accepted three lanes of product that needed to be stacked for a sleeving application. This solution needed to be very accurate as their sleever demanded a precise pitch to properly operate.

Morrison Solution

Morrison’s engineers created a three-lane, three-screw system with varying elevations to feed 16 oz tubs into a three-over-three pack pattern. Each lane handled 70 stacks per minute, providing precise control and careful handling of full and capped containers without damage.

Construction

The system was constructed from black anodized aluminum and UHMW Plastic. Offering a durable and lightweight solution, able to run 210 containers per minute.

Results

The implementation of Morrison’s screw stacking system resulted in accurate and consistent stacking of the containers. The system successfully accepted full and capped containers, handling them with care to prevent damage. The three-lane, three-screw design created an efficient stacking process, meeting the customer’s automation and industry requirements.
