CONTAINER: 32oz and 9.5oz Square Plastic Spice Containers

Customer Container Handling Challenge: There was a single lane of containers that needed to be turned and metered prior to a labeling application that placed a label on two different sides of a square container.

Morrison Solution: To turn these containers, Morrison utilized its expert shingle infeed design to assist in container acceptance, with timing feed screws handling the container positively. In order to account for three different container sizes, a deluxe adjuster was mounted that would allow for quick adjustment during changeover by utilizing dials instead of tools.

These containers were turned from narrow side leading to wide side leading from a backlog. Once positioned, the containers were metered at discharge to allow from proper timing and spacing prior to the labeling application.

This turnkey solution, including Morrison electrical controls and infeed guides, was provided to run at slow speeds per customer request.
