Customer Container Handling Challenge: Our customer needed to move a top heavy, plastic wine glass container across their packaging line. The container needed to be metered and oriented for the downstream operation.
Morrison Solution: Our team designed a custom timing screw drive unit that will accept wine glass containers from a backlog and meter and orient them automatically to continue onto the downstream operation. Due to the nature of the shape, the wine glass containers were prone to shingle, so our container handling experts designed a case-specific infeed to accept randomly oriented and randomly spaced containers and control then at the stem to inhibit the shingle capabilities.
