Customer Container Handling Challenge: Full, capped glass nail polish bottles needed to be spaced onto pucks.
Morrison Solution: Morrison designed a dual, 4 screw, micro custom drive assembly that accepts the glass nail polish bottles from a backlog and meters them so they are discharged at a specific pitch. The two discharge screws at the infeed meter the containers at pitch to the two discharge screws. The nail polish bottles are placed on pucks while at pitch.
Morrison is able to design screws small enough to positively control the container for the application.
Each set of screws is powered by a servo motor.
