Customer Container Handling Challenge: Our customer came to us in need of automation of a boxed wine packaging line application. They were filling bags of wine and then manually placing each bag into the empty boxes. This process was cumbersome and time consuming.

Morrison Solution: Our team automated the process by designing a timing screw kit to present empty wine boxes under the customer’s machine that places full, sealed bags of wine in the boxes after they are dropped from the form fill sealing machine. In this process, boxes are indexed under the form sealer and the bags are dropped into the boxes and metered to a specific pitch and exit the screw.

This eliminated the labor intensive process on the line and opened opportunity for higher output as the screws can run at the speed needed to match the form sealing system.
