Customer Container Handling Challenge: They needed one solution to divide, stack, and group Mac and Cheese cups for sleeving.
Morrison Solution: Our engineers designed a compete system that first accepts a single lane of containers and divides them. Guides move them around a corner where the cups are accepted into a twist on one side while metered on the other, using the shape of the twist to stack the cups on top of each other.
As the stacked cups exit the screw, they are grouped into 4 packs (2 stacks of 2 cups) that will enter a sleever. The design of this system accommodates the space needs of the customer and presents a compact application that handles multiple needs.
Electrical components of this system were engineered and integrated by our electrical controls team.
Complete system guarding was also provided on this system.
