Oval Soap Down Bottle Reject

Customer Container Handling Challenge

A soap manufacturer needed a system that would reject down bottles from a wide variety of different container sizes. The system would have to reject the bottles while still being on the same conveyor line. This would be a challenge for Morrison, because of the large amount of containers on each line.

Morrison Solution

Morrison’s expert engineers developed a custom-made down bottle reject system that fit onto their conveyor line. Down bottle rejects systems make no changes to the design of the conveyor; they simply retrofit to the existing production supply. This system allowed bottles that were facing up right to continue down the production line, while ejecting down bottles out the side into a basket. This system successfully rejected 6 different sized bottles without making any manual adjustments.

Construction

This system was constructed from stainless steel, and plastic UHMW plastic. Providing a system that is easy to maintenance and robust.

Results

Morrison’s innovative down bottle reject system improved the customers container handling process. The system effectively rejected the multitude of differently sized down bottles, while not disrupting the flow of the customer’s production process. This system met the standards of the customer and the soap industry.
