Our customer needed an upgrade to their existing machine in order to run a new container shape for metering ice cream pints on their production line.
Our engineers upgraded the timing screw and metering system from a previous solution, customizing it to fit the new container design. The extended taper infeed allowed random-speed feeding, and the system processed pint containers upright or upside down. It accepted containers from a random feed, transitioned them over a dead plate, and discharged with equal spacing. Despite the challenges of handling delicate ice cream containers, Morrison’s screws provided gentle, precise control to maintain container integrity.
The system was constructed from stainless steel for high washdown environments, providing durability and easy maintenance, . as well as food-safe UHMW plastic.
Morrison’s expert team designed a reliable solution for metering ice cream pints, providing gentle control to maintain container integrity and meet dairy industry standards.
