A large dairy manufacturer required a solution for multipacking cheese containers, accepting a single lane of containers and discharging them for a downstream pick-and-place system. The system needed to create three-packs of cheese containers accurately and precisely.
Our team designed a dual timing screw unit to handle various full and capped cheese containers from a backlog, discharging them with minimal spacing to form three packs. The timing screw speed was modulated to ramp up and down as needed, with the backlog to help ensure the system’s smooth operation.
The system was constructed from 303/304 Stainless Steel, suitable for low washdown scenarios.
The custom solution met the customer’s needs, forming three-packs at 150 CPM. Its reliability and easy integration improved efficiency and productivity in their cheese packaging line.
