Our belief in supporting our customers begins the moment we first interact with customers – which typically centers around a project quote. This mentality speaks to a larger philosophy here at Morrison, which we call Support Built In®. As Nancy Wilson, CEO of Morrison Container Handling Solutions, said recently, “We live by Support Built In® and apply this philosophy to everything we do. In the simplest of terms, this means to always do the right thing and are ready to be of service for our customers and our team members.”
Recently, the right thing to do was seize an opportunity to enhance our Applications Team – which will directly benefit our potential customers and existing customers. One of our Applications Team’s key responsibilities is to work closely with customers to understand their needs and goals to accurately quote jobs and projects. To better support and connect with our customers during this process we realized expanding Applications from a one-person role to a team of people dedicated to the success of our customers was in our customers’ best interest.
The goal for the newly formed team is to build upon our established processes while creating efficiencies that aid in our customers’ success. Communication is vital during the quote process and having a committed team of experts for our customers is a great example of Support Built In®.
Managed under our Engineering Department, the Applications Team collaborates with the project engineers as well as the sales team to understand the details of the project while maintaining clear communication with our customer on the status of their project.
Our newly promoted Applications Team Manager, Sarah Jones leads the team which comprises of Senior Applications Engineer Alan Coyle and Applications Engineer Cody Halminiak. Chances are if you’ve received a quote from Morrison, you’ve worked with one of these incredible experts. Alan handles the prep work for individual jobs and early communications with the customer. Cody works with our engineering team to get a jump start on details surrounding the project while keeping customers informed on project status and timelines. Sarah keeps everyone focused on the tasks and details associated with each quote while working with other department leaders to drive projects forward.
“Our goal with forming this team is to enrich the customer experience, and we’ve received positive feedback from customers that have recently started projects with Morrison,” Sarah said. “We’re looking to expand the Applications team to bring even more support to our customers and to deliver on our Support Built In® promise.”
