Inside Sales Representative

ABOUT THE POSITION

Morrison Container Handling Solutions is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our sales team.  The position allows you to:

  • Grow a new area of business while reporting directly to the Director of Sales

  • Be responsible for knowing company sales policies, procedures, and the items sold

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Grow aftermarket, includes calling current and previous customers with machines.

  • Direct communication with new and existing customers for project updates when required, includes confirming all information is gathered (color, containers, orientation, etc.), customers calls in RSM territories to help identify prospective clients and quotes follow up.

  • Complete standard quotations.

  • Occasional travel to customers to learn about the industry, better understand MCHS’s customer base and support accurate application quotations.

CAD-CAM Programmer

ABOUT THE POSITION

Morrison Container Handling Solutions is seeking a CAD-CAM Programmer to join our production team.  The position allows you to:

  • Utilize your proficient knowledge of CAD-CAM programming to help Morrison define and develop this role in a growing organization

  • Implement new processes and work closely with our engineers and machinists throughout production process

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with lead engineers, manufacturing, and assembly team members to design problem-solving container handling equipment

  • Using CAD software, produce standard, manufacture-ready designs; detail parts, and create mechanical drawings, assembly prints and specifications that enable the production team to correctly fabricate and assemble all engineering output

  • Review specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed

  • Maintain close communication, problem-solving and working in the production team to ensure proper assembly and operation of completed designs; modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems

  • Communicate with customers in a professional and timely manner regarding feasibility, design, order status, operational concerns, service and more

Field Service & Manufacturing Assembly Technician

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Frequent overnight travel (up to 70% of time) to customer facilities primarily within the United States, to measure, install, evaluate, troubleshoot or repair equipment.

  • Work with customers’ on-site production technicians and engineers to ensure smooth operation of machinery while maintaining Morrison’s high standard of customer service

  • Create, follow and maintain standardized processes for recording in-field activities, such as, machine adjustments, alterations necessary, rework needed, customer requests, etc.

  • Follow and maintain processes in-house for machine assembly

  • Gather necessary parts, subassemblies, tools and materials and assemble components and machines; read and understand engineering prints; test machinery methodically and comprehensively

  • Collaborate with engineers to relay progress and improve or alter parts, assemblies or components.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience assembling a variety of mechanical machines and components preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, Engineering degree desired

  • Comfortable using and navigating a variety of technological tools, such as computers, smartphones, FaceTime, Skype, recording videos, participating in WebEx sessions, etc

Lead CNC Lathe Machinist

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Lead CNC Lathe Machinist is an hourly-compensated employee on the production team reporting to the Production Operations Manager and responsible for supervising and coordinating process and run for all lathe machines, and executing the safe operation of the CNC Lathe and occasionally other machines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage personnel, job priorities, scheduling, programming, maintenance and run for all Lathe machines

  • Review Bills of Materials, Parts Orders and MFG lists daily to determine priorities based on manufacture and ship dates, as well as aggregate number of operations needed

  • Together with Operations Process Engineer and other Lead Machinists, schedule flow of jobs through production for optimal efficiency; monitor progress throughout the day to ensure standards for timeliness and production value are met

  • Collaborate with engineers to improve parts, correct errors on prints and/or address other discrepancies; inform Operations Process Engineer of any such discrepancies

  • Seek out and drive improvements in tools and/or processes; implement change to benefit specific department as well as overall production operations

  • Using basic geometry and mathematics, calculate values and write programs for CNC Lathe based on engineering blueprints

  • Choose proper tooling based on parameters of each specific job; set up physical tooling and teach tools to run program

  • Save frequently used programs and sequences to maximize efficiency; update saved programs when designs change

  • Observe progress of machining, especially as it relates to parts with tight tolerances; watch simulations as needed to prevent errors in machining

  • During machining of MFG parts or other parts requiring long machining times, perform work or maintenance on other machines

  • Inspect finished work for accuracy

  • Daily maintenance of machine and work area, including check of coolant and weigh lube levels, emptying chip barrel, disposal of scrap material, organization of tools and sweeping; other maintenance as scheduled

QUALIFICATIONS

  • REQUIRED: High school diploma, additional certifications (CNC Lathe operation courses, etc.) and supervisory experience 1+ years
