A leading alcohol manufacturer approached us with the challenge of counting wine bottles and managing four conveyors of single lanes of 50 mL round wine bottles that needed to be metered and counted before being boxed.
Morrison provided two dual servo-driven timing screw systems to meter and count the containers. Servo-driven timing screws consistently metered and counted the required containers, and Morrison supplied the electrical controls to allow full testing prior to shipping, minimizing installation test time.
The system, built with anodized aluminum, operated at 600-720 CPM per conveyor lane, with up to 360 output. It featured AB servo motors, Stober reducers, timing belt drives, 18” UHMW timing screws, support frame hardware, and AB servo controls, including upstream eye controls, a timing screw, a customer-supplied conveyor, and a sensor for count confirmation.
Morrison’s solution accurately metered and counted wine bottles at the desired speed, reducing installation time through pre-shipment testing and virtual reviews. This seamless integration improved efficiency and accuracy in the customer’s bottling process, showcasing the reliability and precision of Morrison’s custom handling solutions.
