Morrison’s engineering team designed an innovative solution featuring a timing screw drive unit. This unit accepted the empty pepper containers from a backlog, spacing them to feed into a starwheel for filling.
The system was configured to handle two different container sizes (3oz and 6oz) at speeds between 150 and 180 containers per minute. Each screw was color-coded to correspond with the container size, facilitating quick, tool-less changeovers.
The timing screw drive unit was made of black anodized aluminum, offering a durable and lightweight solution perfect for high-speed operations that met specific industry standards.
By implementing Morrison’s custom solution, the customer achieved seamless container handling at speeds of 150 to 180 containers per minute (CPM). The reliable system helped ensure proper spacing for the rotary filler, preventing production delays and product wastage.
