Morrison Container Handling Solutions Adds Twist Blocks to Its Growing Product Offerings

New product launch reinforces Morrison’s commitment to offering wide range of container handling solutions to customers.

Morrison Container Handling Solutions is excited to announce the addition of the Twist Block to its lineup of container inverting solutions. This robust product brings about a simple, effective way to invert containers from one side to the other on a packaging line.

“For years we’ve seen great success with our power twist timing screw machines, but many of our customers need to simply invert mechanically on a line with backlog present,” says President Chris Wilson. “The Morrison Twist Block is a simple way to invert these containers and we are happy to be able to offer this to our customers in addition to our other inverting solutions.”

The Morrison innovative Twist Block was developed to use only a few pieces, which is key in many production environments because it reduces opportunities for contaminates to harbor.  Traditional twist blocks in the market utilize the standard sandwich production method, using dozens of pieces of plastic places together to create the twist.

Another key benefit of this new design - the fewer pieces allow for quicker disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly.

“When we decided to add this product to our offerings, we wanted to supply a better option for our customers – not just replace what they already had with the same product,” CEO Nancy Wilson said. “We leveraged our container handling expertise and listened to our customers. They needed a simpler design that was more sanitary and easier to clean, and once again our engineers and machinists delivered.”

This new design not only is easier to clean, but it uses a reduced footprint. Our standard models range from 12 to 18 inches, and custom sizing is available to retrofit to existing set ups.

Featuring simple mounting, the block utilizes quick changeover clamps and a built-in handle, making it easier for operators to remove this lightweight block when performing changeovers to different container sizes.

“For more than 51 years we’ve been adding products to our portfolio that help improve efficiencies, throughput, and changeover time on our customers’ lines,” Founder and Chairman Nick Wilson said. “I’m proud of our team for finding a quality way to innovate and significantly improve on an existing product in the market that will improve our customer’s lines as well as allow us to better serve new markets.”
