Customer Container Handling Challenge: Our customer needed a way to efficiently invert glass wine bottles for an air rinsing application with out damage or breaking the containers.

Morrison Solution: Our container handling experts designed a timing screw unit that inverts glass wine bottles upside down for a bottle air rinsing application. The containers rotate around the timing screw via a twist assembly so the opening of the container is facing down. After the air rinsing process the container is flipped right side up. The glass bottles sit in the pockets of the timing screws to reduce breakage. Often times glass containers are more prone to breakage because of their nature. This system ran for 8 hours straight, with the same bottles, to ensure our customer that there would be no glass breakage or micro fractures to their container. This is an example of how a timing screw can increase your product efficiency and reduce breakage of glass containers. Our rinsing application can be utilized for air or water, depending on our customer needs.
