Morrison Container Handling Solutions is seeking a REGIONAL SALES MANAGER to be responsible for working in the Midwest Region territory (IL, WI, IA, MN, MO, KS) by building and maintaining positive customer relationships and delivering on sales targets to support Morrison’s growth objectives.  This is an established territory with strong current sales as well as opportunity for growth. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for growing sales of Packaging Machinery and Equipment for a 46 year old, customer focused company to existing and new customers. Calling on plants with packaging lines such as beverage companies, wineries, CPGs as well as other Packaging Machinery OEMs. Utilizing your technical, problem solving, and communication skills to help bring container handling solutions to customers.
  • Develop and direct an Individual Business Plan to expand on existing accounts in the established  Midwest Region territory while identifying and developing new relationships with key decision makers at high potential retail and OEM prospects
  • Cultivate relationships with customers to understand their business needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Continually assess market conditions with regard to pricing, and competitive action and policies
  • Provide visible leadership and facilitation of the sales management process, including travel planning, quote follow-up, paperwork completion, and communication coordination between customer, engineering and manufacturing throughout the order completion process

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have permanent eligibility to work full time in USA.
  • The position is Chicago based – covers multiple states and requires weekly overnight travel.

  • collaborate with our production team as these custom designs come to reality to meet our customers’ needs. 

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Collaborate with Lead Engineers, Manufacturing and Assembly team members to design problem-solving container handling equipment
  • Using CAD software, produce standard, manufacture-ready designs; detail parts, and create mechanical drawings, assembly prints and specifications that enable the production team to correctly fabricate and assemble all engineering output
  • Review specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Frequent overnight travel (up to 70% of time) to customer facilities primarily within the United States, to measure, install, evaluate, troubleshoot or repair equipment. 
  • Work with customers’ on-site production technicians and engineers to ensure smooth operation of machinery while maintaining Morrison’s high standard of customer service
  • Create, follow and maintain standardized processes for recording in-field activities, such as, machine adjustments, alterations necessary, rework needed, customer requests, etc.
  • Follow and maintain processes in-house for machine assembly
  • Gather necessary parts, subassemblies, tools and materials and assemble components and machines; read and understand engineering prints; test machinery  methodically and comprehensively
  • Collaborate with engineers to relay progress and improve or alter parts, assemblies or components.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience assembling a variety of mechanical machines and components preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred,  Engineering degree desired
  • Comfortable using and navigating a variety of technological tools, such as computers, smartphones, FaceTime, Skype, recording videos, participating in WebEx sessions, etc
  • Proven aptitude for and interest in machines and their functions; ability to read assembly prints required
  • Approachable, friendly demeanor; the person in this position is sometimes be the only “face” of Morrison to the customer
