Internship - Mechanical Design Engineer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Utilize proficient knowledge of engineering design principles to generate sound designs that meet Morrison standards for innovative, reliable container handling equipment and
Collaborate with Lead Engineers, Manufacturing and Assembly team members to design and build problem-solving container handling equipment
Using CAD software, produce standard, manufacture-ready designs; detail parts, and create mechanical drawings, assembly prints and specifications that enable the production team to correctly fabricate and assemble all engineering output
Work part time while attending classes with full time work expected when not in session.
QUALIFICATIONS
Pursing Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology required
Hands-on mechanical engineering design experience preferred
Ability to work with Autodesk Inventor desired

Utilize your proficient knowledge of engineering design principles to generate sound designs that meet Morrison standards for innovative, reliable container handling equipment and
Collaborate with our production team as these custom designs come to reality to meet our customers’ needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with Lead Engineers, Manufacturing and Assembly team members to design problem-solving container handling equipment
Using CAD software, produce standard, manufacture-ready designs; detail parts, and create mechanical drawings, assembly prints and specifications that enable the production team to correctly fabricate and assemble all engineering output
Review specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed
Maintain close communication, problem-solving and collaboration with the production team to ensure proper assembly and operation of completed designs; modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems
Communicate with customers in a professional and timely manner regarding feasibility, design, order status, operational concerns, service and more
Focus on concepts and designs with the potential for repeatability and standardization to maximize efficiency and profitability and minimize errors

Using CAD software, produce standard, manufacture-ready designs; assist Mechanical Detail Engineers in detailing parts, and creating mechanical drawings, assembly prints and specifications that enable the production team to correctly fabricate and assemble all engineering output
Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, or other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, or maintenance requirements of designs or applications
Review specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed
Maintain close communication, problem-solving and collaboration with the production team to ensure proper assembly and operation of completed designs; modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems

Field Service & Manufacturing Assembly Technician
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Frequent overnight travel (up to 70% of time) to customer facilities primarily within the United States, to measure, install, evaluate, troubleshoot or repair equipment.
Work with customers’ on-site production technicians and engineers to ensure smooth operation of machinery while maintaining Morrison’s high standard of customer service
Create, follow and maintain standardized processes for recording in-field activities, such as, machine adjustments, alterations necessary, rework needed, customer requests, etc.
Follow and maintain processes in-house for machine assembly
Gather necessary parts, subassemblies, tools and materials and assemble components and machines; read and understand engineering prints; test machinery methodically and comprehensively
Collaborate with engineers to relay progress and improve or alter parts, assemblies or components.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
5+ years of experience assembling a variety of mechanical machines and components preferred
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, Engineering degree desired
Comfortable using and navigating a variety of technological tools, such as computers, smartphones, FaceTime, Skype, recording videos, participating in WebEx sessions, etc
Proven aptitude for and interest in machines and their functions; ability to read assembly prints required
Approachable, friendly demeanor; the person in this position is sometimes be the only “face” of Morrison to the customer
COMPETENCIES/QUALIFICATIONS
Eligible to permanently work fulltime in the US (US citizen or Green Card Holder)
Able to lift up to 50 pounds; current driver’s license

CNC Lathe Machinist
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be experienced with doing setups and programming
Using data supplied by Engineering, determine and execute proper bores, tapers, counter-bores, hubs and finished outside diameter on raw plastic
Choose proper cutters and drills based on parameters of each specific job
Observe progress of machining and watch for errors; inspect finished work for accuracy
Work with engineering to develop specialized procedures for non-routine jobs
QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years experience running Mazak CNC lathe
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain demanding physical operations throughout the work day

Mechanical Skills: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance; committed to the safe operation of machinery

Attention to Detail: Operating the Manual Lathe require constant management of minute details; small errors can be extremely costly, both in money and time, and across multiple departments
Organization: Strong ability to plan, prioritize and multi-task; the Material Handler/Stockroom Assistant will juggle multiple tasks and work areas simultaneously, and meticulous organization is essential
Computer Skills: Ability to navigate and use a desktop computer, including internet browsers, email and word processing
Math Skills: Knowledge of basic arithmetic
